The archeological site of CHOQUEQUIRAO is part of the complex system of the andean cities of the valley of Vilcabamba. By the time of the  incas, this was in communication with  Machu Picchu by a cmplex or inca trails.

This is the second most important city  of our inca territory Choquequiraw it is located as equal than Machupicchu conserved enough being also a complex of considerable wideness. This is a new and wonderful trekking.

ITINERARY

DAY 01: CUSCO - CACHORA – ROSALINA

rosalinaWe will pass by our hotel to direct to our bus with direction towards the district of Cachora, passing by the

Locations of Izcuchaca, Limatambo and  Curawasi  arriving to the town of Cachora around 10.00am. We have a visit in the town and then we will take lunch, after lunch we will start our trekking with direction towards Wanka Qalli Grande, from this spot we can appreciate the mountain where it lies the archeological complex of Choquequirao, besides a beautiful sight of the snowies of Vilcabamba, Salqantay chico among others from the  sector Capuliyuq. Then we will descend towards, Cuca Masana, where the  flora and fauna begins to change until arriving to playa Rosalina beach. Camping.

 

DAY 02: ROSALINA - SANTA ROSA - MARAMPATA – CHOQUEQUIRAO.

marampataAfter breakfast we direct towards the distillery of liquor of Cane of sugar. In the sector named Santa Rosa. This second day of trekking is considered as the hardest one, with direction towards Marampata, in the journey we will observe  orchids and violeta, if luck accompanies us we will be able to appreciate fauna like deers, ant bears and diversity of birds and insects. After a typical lunch and resting in Marampata we will continue with direction towards the inca citadel of Choquequirao, After one and a half hour of trekking, we will arrive to the main spot to visit part of the inca citadel that is the sector Phaqchayuq and Pariaq qaqa and we go up to our camping.

 

DAY 03: CHOQUEQUIRAO - SANTA ROSA – CHIQUISCA

By the dawn after taking breakfast we will ascend to one of the most important spots of the citadel of Choquequiraw considered as the main sector,the sectors of the  Hanan and  Urin likewise the Ushnu  and the sector of the llamas, afterwards we return for lunch and a resting before descending by the same route towards Ch’iquisca, our last camping. 

DAY 04: CHIQUISCA - CAPULIYUC  - CACHORA – CUSCO

After breakfast in Chiquisca we start the ascending towards the watcher of Wayna Qalli. From the Watcher the canyon of the Apurímac can be seen, considered as the most spectacular in Southamérica. Arrival to Cachora where a typical lunch waits for us and return towards the city of Cusco.

It includes:

  • Bilingual guide English/Spanish
  • Transfers mentioned in the program from and towards the hotel.
  • Complete feeding: 3 b, 4 l, 3 and  3 d.
  • Equipment of  camping: bipersonal tents. Dining tent, tent for kitchen, chairs.
  • Box for first aids.
  • Service of cooker and porters.
  • Horse for charge and we also help 5 kg. of your baggage.
